GWERINIAETH CYMRU

A New Cymru. A Fair Cymru. A Free Cymru.

WHY A REPUBLIC?

Because Cymru should be governed by its people, not by a monarchy or a Westminster parliament we didn’t elect.

1. POWER TO THE PEOPLE

  • A sovereign Welsh Parliament with full control over justice, energy, welfare, and broadcasting.

  • A Welsh constitution written by citizens, guaranteeing rights, equality, and democracy.

  • A Welsh head of state, elected by the people — not inherited.

2. A FAIR ECONOMY FOR EVERY COMMUNITY

  • Public ownership of water, rail, and energy.

  • A Welsh National Energy Company delivering clean, affordable power.

  • Investment in co‑ops, small businesses, and the green industry.

  • Strong workers’ rights and fair pay.

3. HOMES, LAND & LOCAL COMMUNITIES

  • Return Crown Estate land to Cymru.

  • Affordable homes for locals in every community.

  • Reduce the number of holiday lets and second homes.

  • Support for farmers, rural communities, and local food systems.

4. OUR LANGUAGE. OUR CULTURE. OUR NATION.

  • Welsh‑medium education for every child.

  • Legal protection for Welsh place‑names.

  • Investment in arts, heritage, and national culture.

5. A GREEN WALES FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS

  • A Welsh Green New Deal: renewables, clean transport, restored rivers and forests.

  • Community‑owned energy projects across the country.

6. RIGHTS, JUSTICE & EQUALITY

  • A Welsh Bill of Rights protecting everyone.

  • A Welsh justice system focused on fairness and rehabilitation.

  • Strong protections against discrimination and violence.

A REPUBLIC BUILT BY US

A Cymru that owns its land, its energy, and its future. A nation governed by its people.

Gweriniaeth Cymru — because Cymru deserves better.
